KILLEN + DORAN have received awards and commendations for outstanding design and sympathetic restoration projects. Some examples include the following.

The prestigious Master Builders Award (MBA) NSW for the luxurious and modern conversion and re-use of an existing building into the ‘Essington Apartment Complex’.
The Menkens Award in the Lower Hunter Civic Designs,  sponsored by Royal Australian Institute of Architects and awarded for  the ‘Cosmopolitation Apartment Complex’.

The Menkens Award again for Commercial Buildings in the Lower Hunter Civic Design Awards.

A Master Builders Award (MBA) NSW was also awarded for the Mahoney Residence at Dixon Park Beach in Newcastle.

KILLEN + DORAN are Honorary Architects for Kidsafe Australia (Hunter Region) and are involved in the construction of a new facility at the John Hunter Hospital Campus

KILLEN + DORAN have also been fortunate enough to have been recognized for work with local Sporting Groups including the Newcastle Knights, numerous Church and Charity Groups such as St Vincent De Paul and a variety of Nursing Homes, Hostels and Self-Care Facilities.
